What we do

We report climate financial exposure in the forestry, land and agricultural (FLAG) sector.

Most of what we do in provision of services does not require us to collect or use personal information about individuals. To the extent that we do, we comply with provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (C’th of Australia), including the Australian Privacy Principles that form part of that Act. The
Privacy Act 1988 is overseen by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC’s website [link: www.oaic.gov.au] provides information and guidance about regulated entities.

We seek to minimise our collection and use of personal information about individuals to that which is reasonably necessary to enable us to interact with prospective users of our services, our customers and our suppliers.

We also endeavour to evolve our services and associated data handling processes and practices to comply with developing global best practice for the farm and agriculture sector.

We implement:

These codes and principles go beyond collection and use of personal information about individuals (natural persons), to also address services collecting and using handling sensitive data sets relating to activities of farming enterprises and their farm and other agricultural holdings.

Some data sets relating to activities of farming enterprises and their farm and other agricultural holdings may include identifying information about natural persons that is personal information about individuals. Where that is the case, we will implement the relevant farm codes and principles
and also comply with provisions of the Privacy Act 1988, including the Australian Privacy Principles.
